SB 1383 requires all families and businesses to participate in organics recycling. Some businesses may be eligible for waiver from organics recycling, and some may be required to participate in food recovery. See below for detailed information.

  • Sort waste into the designated containers.
  • Provide information to employees and/or customers about recovery and sorting requirements.
  • Provide containers for organic waste and recyclable waste in all indoor and outdoor areas.
