As of May 11, 2026, Eileen Wang resigned from the Arcadia City Council, vacating her position as Mayor. At its May 19, 2026, meeting, the City Council selected an appointment process to fill the vacancy in District 3.
Complete applications must be submitted to CityClerk@ArcadiaCA.gov by Friday, May 29, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Applicants considered for appointment must be available for interview by the City Council at a Special Meeting on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 240 W. Huntington Drive, Arcadia, CA 91007.
Qualifications include:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be an Arcadia registered voter
- Must resided in District 3
