Commercial and Multi-Family Mandatory Recycling
Assembly Bill 341 requires recycling services for businesses, public entities, and multi-family residential dwellings of five or more units that generate four or more cubic yards of commercial solid waste per week. The City has three permitted commercial haulers to assist with your refuse and recycling needs. Commercial customers are eligible to receive recycling containers upon request at no additional costs. Backyard Service & Senior Citizen Discount Programs
Backyard service is provided free for residents with a physical hardship. View the Backyard Verification form.
Additionally, residents over the age of 62 qualify for a senior citizen discount. View the Senior Verification form.
Bear Resistant Carts
The City offers 95-gallon Bear Resistant Carts to Arcadia residents in the amount of $463.52 each, prorated at $77.25 on your bi-monthly water bill. The monthly service fee for the Bear Cart is $7.67 in addition to the current 96-gallon black trash cart rate.
Upon arrival of the bear cart, the customer’s old 96-gallon black cart will be replaced with the Bear Cart. Customers are required to complete the Bear Cart Agreement. For more information, please contact the Public Works Services Department.

Bulky Item Pickups
Waste Management offers four free bulky item pickups per calendar year for each single-family residential account and two free bulky item pickups per calendar year for each multi-family residential unit.

April 1, 2016: Businesses that generate eight cubic yards of organic waste per week must arrange for organic waste recycling services.
Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Disposal
Pharmaceuticals and sharps are anonymously accepted at the Temple City Sheriff's Station located at 8838 Las Tunas Drive in Temple City.
