The Public Works Services Department administers various projects included in the City's Capital Improvement and Equipment Plan. These projects are related to the City's infrastructure and are necessary to maintain a safe and healthy quality of life in Arcadia. Public Works Services Projects include such things as road and sidewalk improvements, tree projects, building maintenance, water and sewer maintenance and improvements, traffic signals, and park maintenance.
Eisenhower Park Renovation Project
The project involves renovations to the following park amenities: parking lot, baseball field, restrooms, concession stand, playground area, and dog park. Renovations will begin August 2019 with park renovations expected to be completed by January 2020. Renovations at the dog park will be completed by April 2020. Sewer Main CCTV Project
This project includes the inspection of the sewer main along the easement of the 210 Freeway (from west City limits of Michillinda Avenue to Rancho Road) and the sewer main along backyards easements on Highland Oaks Avenue (to the North City limits). Median Turf Reduction Program - Final Phase
As the final phase of the Median Turf Reduction Program, the existing turf on the Baldwin Avenue, Santa Anita Avenue, and Live Oak Avenue medians will be replaced with decorative hardscape, drought tolerant plants, drip irrigation, and trees. This will increase water efficiency and improve the overall aesthetics of the medians. Work is scheduled to begin in February 2020 and is expected to be completed by June 2020.
