Neighborhood Watch Program
The Arcadia Police Department's Neighborhood Watch program is administered by the Community Affairs Office. The mission of the program is to educate community residents regarding their roles and responsibilities in the prevention of crime, and to encourage them to take active measures to prevent crime. The program calls upon residents to step forward and assist the police in organizing the community into a cohesive unit working toward the goal of building a safer, crime-free neighborhood. Neighborhood Watch groups discuss neighborhood crime problems with the objective of developing solutions to local problems. Arcadia Police Officers supply crime information to neighborhood watch organizations and instruct these groups in various crime prevention techniques.
As an Arcadia resident, our Neighborhood Watch program is an opportunity for you to take part in reducing crime in Arcadia and increasing your safety by:
- Participating in neighborhood watch
- Increasing your safety knowledge and awareness
- Getting to know your neighbors and neighborhood
Our most current campaign is "See Something - Say Something", which means if you see unusual activity in your neighborhood, don't wait to alert law enforcement, pick up the phone and call the Arcadia Police Department at (626) 574-5123 or Dial 9-1-1 immediately. Alert police to anything that may look suspicious. APD wants to ensure your safety, and your call to alert an officer is the best way that you can report important information.

Coffee With A Cop:
Coffee-With-A-Cop is an event in which the Department invites the community to meet with Arcadia Police Officers and staff for coffee and conversation. With no pre-arranged agenda or speeches, people get a chance to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know the officers in their neighborhood. Some events have "Topic of the Day" and are known to generate a great turn out of residents and community members. Some of the past topics included pedestrian safety and safeguarding against residential burglaries. Events have been held at Coco's restaurant, the Santa Anita Westfield Mall, Arcadia Methodist Hospital, and the Santa Anita Race Track amongst other locations.
Town Hall Meetings:
The Community Affairs Office organizes and hosts town hall meetings at Arcadia Community Center in order to review and share important information with the community.
National Night Out (NNO) is a national community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships. NNO is held annually on the first Tuesday of August. Check back here for City of Arcadia's NNO event information as we near the next event date: Tuesday, August 4, 2020.
