Arcadia City parks are open from 7am-10pm.
Arcadia City parks are available on a first come, first served basis. No reservations for picnic shelters are issued by the City and the posting of "reserved" signs is prohibited. City programs, including field allocations to outside organizations, have priority usage for tennis courts, pickleball courts, and fields.
No outside vendors are allowed in City parks. This includes bounce houses and food vendors.
Arcadia Community Regional Park (on the corner of Huntington and Santa Anita) is operated by the County of Los Angeles. Information regarding that park can be found on their website.
- City and City authorized activities have priority over all other court use. Courts must be relinquished for City and City authorized activities.
- Courts are available to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
- United States Tennis Association (USTA) and USA Pickleball Association (USAPA) rules and etiquette apply.
- When others are waiting for a court, usage is limited to:
- Three-minute warm-ups.
- Tennis:
- One set for singles/two sets for doubles or 30-minute rally.
- 6-all will be determined by one additional game.
- Pickleball:
- One game or 30-minute rally.
- Games shall be to 11 points, win by 2.
- Courts may not be used for tournaments, reserved, or scheduled without the written consent of the City.
- Unauthorized professional instruction is prohibited.
- Removal or tampering with nets is prohibited.
- Only soft soled, athletic shoes are permitted.
- Glass bottles or containers are prohibited.
- Pets of any kind are prohibited.
- Good neighbor etiquette, including lower noise levels, is always required.
Adopted by Resolution No. 7643 & Ordinance No. 2407. Violation of these rules is a crime. Violators shall be prosecuted. AMC-4410.3 & AMC-3320.
Regulations for All Fields:
- City and City authorized activities have priority over all other field use. Fields must be relinquished for City and City authorized activities.
- Formal practices or games require a field reservation through the City.
- Fields are available to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Unauthorized professional instruction is prohibited.
- Glass bottles or containers are prohibited.
- Pets of any kind are prohibited.
- Motorized vehicles, bicycles, and wheeled toys are prohibited.
- Golf is prohibited.
- Canopies cannot be staked into grass. Canopies must be secured with weights.
- Good neighbor etiquette, including lower noise levels, is always required.
Additional Regulations for Synthetic Turf Fields:
- Food, beverages (other than water), sports drinks, gum, seeds, or nuts are prohibited.
- Metal cleats are prohibited. Only rubber cleats are allowed.
- Chalk or field paint is prohibited.
- Carts, umbrellas with spiked ends, or other spiked objects are prohibited.
- Canopies and four legged chairs cannot be placed on synthetic turf. Canopies and four legged chairs can only be placed on concrete. Canopies must be secured with weights.
Adopted by Resolution No. 7643. Violation of these rules is a crime. Violators shall be prosecuted. AMC-4410.3 & AMC-3320.
- No person shall enter at times other than those established as the hours of operation. The hours of operation shall be 7:00 a.m. to dark, unless the City Manager determines, for good cause and upon finding that there will be minimal inconvenience to persons and minimal interference with the quiet enjoyment of nearby property, that the hours of operation shall be increased on a particular day or a period of days on a limited basis.
- Small dogs (twenty-five (25) pounds or less) shall remain in designated area.
- Large dogs (twenty-six (26) pounds or more) shall remain in designated area.
- Owners must be in attendance at an off-leash area while their dogs are present.
- Owners are required to have a visible leash at all times.
- Owners are personally liable for any damage and/or injury caused by their dogs.
- No aggressive dog behavior is allowed at any time (i.e., jumping up on people or approaching other dogs in a menacing manner).
- All dogs must be older than four (4) months and be vaccinated for rabies prior to entering an off-leash area.
- No female dogs in heat are allowed in the off-leash area.
- Owners are required to immediately pick up and dispose of their dog's waste.
- Dogs must be maintained on a leash while entering and exiting a designated off-leash area.
- Professional dog trainers/handlers are not permitted to use the facility for instruction.
- All dogs must wear a collar with current tags.
- Spiked dog collars are prohibited.
- No food of any kind is allowed in the off-leash area.
- Children twelve (12) years old or younger must be supervised by an adult. Parents and/or guardians of children shall not permit children to run, shout, scream or wave their arms or otherwise excite or antagonize dogs.
- No animals other than dogs are permitted in the off-leash area.
- Owners must obey all other park rules.
- Persons and animals use the Dog Park at their own risk.
