The Arcadia Police Department is accepting Carry a Concealed Weapon ("CCW") license applications from Arcadia residents through a third-party provider. The Department aims to provide a CCW license to community members who meet all the qualifications upon request.
The CCW application process is as follows:
- Apply online at MyCCW.us
- Complete the California Department of Justice Application, also available through MyCCW.us.
- Interview with a background investigator and a review of required documents.
- Criminal history check through Live Scan fingerprinting.
- Rigorous background investigation.
- Psychological assessment with a contracted Arcadia Police Department Psychologist.
- Completion of an approved CCW Firearm Safety Course and Weapon(s) Qualification.
- Final review and issuance of CCW license.
