Request a Library AccountLogin below using your library account number (shown on your card beginning with PARC) and the last 4 digits of your phone number.
Your library account gives you access to over 200,000 items, such as books, DVD’s, e-books, Chrome books, and more.
With a Library Account, you can:
- View your checked-out items and their due dates
- Renew and place items on hold
- Update account information
- View your fines and fees
- Pay your fines and fees online with a Visa or Mastercard
- Make purchase suggestions
You can apply in person at the Library’s front desk or online here.
In Person:
- A completed library card application.1012202
- A valid government-issued ID with a current California address.
- Additional proof of California residency (utility bill, bank statement, etc., dated within 30 days) is needed for All Access privileges. A verified PO Box is acceptable with two current pieces of mail.
Minors: May apply for a Student card even if a responsible adult is not present.
- A completed library card application and signature from a responsible adult is required.
Online: Applications are processed within 48 business hours. You’ll receive an email with your account details and instructions on how to pick-up your physical library card.
- Visit the Account Services Desk with your valid government-issued ID.
- Replacement cards are $2.00.
Books:
- Items may be returned to the book drops located in the North parking lot, wall drop outside the main entrance, or the book drop inside the Library.
Other Items (DVD’s, CD’s, Books on CD, Playaways, Tablets, or other Audio-Visual items):
- Return only to the wall drop outside the main entrance or the book drop inside the Library.

Items can be renewed two (2) times if there are no holds on the item.
By Phone:
- Call the Account Services Desk during regular Library hours at 626-821-5571
Online:
- Go to My Account and login using your library card number and PIN.
Holds may be placed by phone, online, or in person at any service desk.
- Holds are free and items are held for 3 business days.
- Limit: 10 holds per card.
- Pick up items across from the Account Services Desk during regular hours.

Overdue Fines: 25¢ per day per item (max $10.50) Excludes Sundays and Holidays.
Lost or Damaged Items: Replacement cost + $5 processing fee.
Collections: A $15 Referral fee will be charged for unpaid fines after 56 days past due.
All paid fines and fees are non-refundable.
Fines and Fees may be paid:
- Online by logging in to My Account.
- In person at the Account Services Desk.
- At any self-check station in the Library.
- Over the phone by contacting the Account Services Desk at 626-821-5571.
- Receive email or text alerts for due soon, overdue, or hold-ready items.
- Update your preferences by logging in to My Account → Messaging Settings
- Materials are delivered to homebound Arcadia residents.
- Items are picked up and returned by Library volunteers.
- Sign-up or volunteer by contacting the Account Services Desk at 626-821-5571.
- Online: Log in to My Account using your library card number (PARC000xxxxxxx) and PIN (last four digits of your phone number).
- In person: Visit the Account Services Desk, a valid government ID is required for account modifications.
To Change your PIN or Password:
- Go to the Library's online catalog (https://discovery.arcadialibrary.org)
- Click on Sign In and enter your library card number (PARC000xxxxxxx) and PIN (usually the last four digits of your phone number).
- Click on your name and then select Reset PIN/Password. Be sure to click on UPDATE to apply changes.
Verify that you are entering your library card number correctly:
- Using or not using capital letters depending on the instructions for the specific database.
- Entering all the characters of your library card number "PARC000xxxxxxx" prefix
- Not entering any spaces between any part of the library card number.
- Adjust your pop-up blocker settings to allow the online database site to open.
When an item isn't in our collection, we we may be able to borrow the item from another library or institution, through a service called Interlibrary Loan. (ILL)
- To request an Interlibrary Loan, go to our online form: https://arcadia.rja.revize.com/forms/1148
- A $5.00 fee per item is due when picking up Interlibrary Loan requests, plus postage and any other fees added by the lending institution.
- Not all items, especially rare or brand-new ones, will be available through Interlibrary Loan.
