Arcadia Senior Services is dedicated to providing services that promote an individual’s independence by supplying access to information, assistance, and knowledge of resources available that can help them maintain living at home. All programs are charge free and available to anyone over the age of 50.  To obtain more information about any of these services or to simply make an appointment, please call Arcadia Senior Services at (626) 574-5130.

Financial Professional Wealth Manager
3rd Monday of the month from 10am-2pm
Appointment required

Receive assistance concerning financial information, estate planning, and investment services.

HICAP
First Tuesday of the month from 10am-1pm
Appointment required

Through the Center for Health Care Rights, HICAP Volunteer Counselors, receive free and unbiased information, counseling and assistance with Medicare and related health insurance. *HICAP is funded, in part, by the City and County of Los Angeles Area Agencies on Aging, through the Older Californians Act.

Lions Sight Program
2nd Tuesday of the month from 2-3pm
Appointment required

Provides certification for a cost free eye exam, frames, and bifocal lenses. Must be at least 62 years old and have a yearly income below $29,900. *Offered in partnership with the Arcadia Lions Club

Notary Public
Every Tuesday except the first from 10am-12pm
Appointments required

Notarize up to three signatures -or- a thirty minute time frame, whichever comes first.

Phone Reassurance
The Phone Reassurance Volunteer calls the client based on an agreement made between themselves and the volunteer. A maximum of three daytime calls may be requested. Download the application, fill it out, and email it with an intake form to Ashley Marston at amarston@arcadiaca.gov or mail to to the Arcadia Community Center - 365 Campus Drive Arcadia, CA 91007.

Senior Seminars
3rd Thursday of each month at 1:30pm and periodically throughout the year
Each month, an outside organization presents on a topic relevant to seniors in our community. Topics range from legal, medical, transportation, hobbies and more. Check out the Connection for the upcoming topics.

Talk with an Attorney
Attorney Carlos Arcos:
Last Monday of the month from 11am-12pm
Appointment required

15 minute phone appointments regarding questions limited to elder care planning, Medi-Cal, trust planning, and probate.

Attorney Sara Polinsky:
1st Monday of the month from 2-5pm
Appointment required

20 minute appointments regarding questions limited to living trusts, wills, probate, financial powers of attorney, advance healthcare directives, property transfers, Medi-Cal, and long term care benefits.

Tax Assistance
Thursdays and Fridays from February - April
Appointments required

AARP volunteer tax aides with certification from the IRS will prepare simple income tax returns to people 50 years and over with low to moderate income.
