- Seeking The Public's Help:  Murder -

The City of Arcadia and the State of California has established a reward for information leading to the arrest and filing of a criminal complaint against the person or persons responsible for the act of Homicide perpetrated against Charlotte Cole.

On Saturday, September 1, 2001, officers from the Arcadia Police Department responded to a 911 emergency call at the Coco's Restaurant located at 59 W. Las Tunas Drive, Arcadia.  Upon arrival, officers located a white Ford Aerostar van in the rear parking lot of the restaurant.  Inside the van, officers discovered the body of Charlotte Cole of Arcadia, 50 years old, slumped over the steering wheel.  It was determined that Cole had suffered multiple stab wounds and was the victim of a homicide.

Detectives from the Arcadia Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department have conducted an intensive investigation and examination of evidence recovered in an effort to identify the perpetrator. The person responsible for this brutal killing has yet to be identified.

Based on evaluation of the crime scene, it is believed that an argument with an unknown occupant of the vehicle preceded the event. This argument is thought to have been observed by several witnesses in the area. Detectives are seeking the public's help in identifying the perpetrator and events that led to the death of Charlotte Cole and are requesting that these witnesses come forward.
