The Library and the Friends of the Library welcome donations of used books and other materials such as music CDs and movie DVDs that are in good condition.  However, we are unable to use magazines.  The Library staff will evaluate materials for addition to the collection in accordance with the Library Materials Selection Policy.  Gift materials that cannot be used in the collection will be given to the Friends for sale in their bookstore, which in turn benefits the Library.

Donated items can be left on the Library's loading dock in the back of the building.  Donation receipts (for tax purposes) are available Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (except for Library holidays) by ringing the bell next to the loading dock door.

    • Financial contributions
Tax deductible contributions may be made to the Friends of the Arcadia Public Library, or directly to the Arcadia Public Library for unrestricted purposes or for a specific program, such as the Children's Summer Reading Program.
