The Transportation Services Division is mainly responsible for carrying out Arcadia Transit services including procurement and management of transit service contract(s), procurement of transit vehicle purchases, marketing, customer care, and daily management and administration of transit funds. In addition, the Transportation Services Division is involved in development and implementation of transportation-related programs and projects, such as parking, bicycle, pedestrian, and the City’s portion of the Gold Line Foothill Extension. The City’s Air Quality Management District (AQMD) funds and Rideshare Program are also the purview of this division.

The following are the changes that have been made to the Arcadia Transit Policy and Procedures Manual:

  1. 1.11 Attendants/Caregivers
Caregivers are allowed on the Arcadia Transit Dial-A-Ride system to help those with disabilities. Caregivers may ride free of charge. Eligible passengers must notify Arcadia Transit when placing a trip request that a caregiver will accompany them.
  2. 3.9 Reasonable Modifications/Accommodations of Policies and Practices
Arcadia Transit adheres to the ADA regulation requiring public transit providers to make reasonable modifications/accommodations to policies, practices, and procedures to avoid discrimination and ensure that their programs are accessible to individuals with disabilities. Under this regulation, upon request, Arcadia Transit bus drivers shall announce the next approaching bus stop and location.

All other provisions in the Policy and Procedures Manual remain unchanged.
