Arcadia and Clean Power Alliance (CPA)

CPA is the new electricity provider for our community.

Post Date:07/17/2019

Clean Power Alliance (CPA) is the new electricity generation provider for the City of Arcadia.  CPA brings new locally controlled renewable power choices to our community.  Arcadia has selected lean power as the default for all customers.  Lean power provides 36% renewable energy at a 1-2% discount.  Southern California Edison (SCE) will continue to provide billing and customer support.

Over the past few months, SCE had a temporary billing system issue that caused delayed bills or incomplete bills for about 10% of CPA’s customers, including Arcadia. Some CPA customers may see higher than average bills if they did not receive one of their past bills or received an incomplete bill. These are not duplicate bills or extra charges. Should you need a payment plan to manage these higher bills, please contact SCE at: 800-655-4555.

We apologize for the inconvenience these billing issues have caused and we thank you for your patience as CPA and SCE resolve all billing issues.

What is Clean Power Alliance (CPA)?

Clean Power Alliance (www.cleanpoweralliance.org) is a nonprofit entity, formed through a Joint Powers Authority (JPA) made up of 31 public agencies across Los Angeles and Ventura counties—including the City of Arcadia—working together to bring clean, renewable power choices to our communities.  CPA is the electricity generation provider for the City of Arcadia.  The City has chosen to select Lean Power as the default option for both residents and businesses, which provides 36% renewable content at the lowest possible cost.

The best part is: the choice is yours! If you are interested in supporting a cleaner future, or leading the way to a greener future, you can change your service by selecting one of CPA’s other two rate options: Clean Power, which provides 50% renewable content, and 100% Green Power, which provides 100% renewable content and gives customers the opportunity to be an environmental champion.

While CPA is the default electricity provider, all customers have a choice of opting out of CPA at any time.
