Arcadia's Local Hazard Mitigation Plan

Seeking Public Input

The City of Arcadia is seeking public input to update its Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP).  The plan identifies natural and man-made hazards that could impact the City of Arcadia and also looks at the strategies the City could take to mitigate the impact of those hazards.  The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) requires all communities to update their Local Hazard Mitigation Plan every five years.

A public comment period will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 7:00 pm in the City of Arcadia Council Chambers located at 240 West Huntington Drive. The meeting will go over the following topics:  discussion of the LHMP process, review of the status of the goals from the 2012 plan, and an opportunity for the public to comment on the hazards that could impact the community.

For more information please contact Battalion Chief Barry Spriggs at or  the Arcadia Fire Department at (626) 574-5100.
