Earth Day Rain Barrel Event

Celebrate Earth Day this year by learning the benefits of rainwater harvesting:

  • Rainwater is the softest water; you can wash your car, pets, or water your garden with it.
  • By capturing rainwater, you're diverting stormwater runoff from carrying pollutants to the ocean.
  • You're reducing your water footprint and improving self-sufficiency.

Order your quality rain barrel online here. Rain barrels ordered or reserved for purchase will be available for pick up on Sunday, April 22 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Arcadia Public Library's parking lot.

There will be a highly recommended rain barrel installation class at the Floretta K. Lauber Museum Education Center from 2:00-3:00 p.m., where resourceful tips, best practices, and mosquito prevention information will be shared. Staff from SGV Mosquito and Vector Control District will be available to answer all your mosquito questions.

Additionally, take advantage of the $35 after-purchase rebate at, limit two barrels per household.
