Arcadia is Preparing to Put New Transportation Funding to Work
The City of Arcadia is preparing to put new transportation funding to work and has just released a list of local road improvement projects that will make it easier and safer to travel in the City. These projects are coming to the City of Arcadia thanks to SB 1, the Road Improvement and Accountability Act of 2017.
The improvements will include:
- Pavement Rehabilitation: The Pavement Rehabilitation Program includes grinding the top two inches of existing asphalt and re-paving the surface with rubberized asphalt on the City roadway segments of Walnut Avenue, Delta Lane, Hampton Road, Fifth Avenue, and Camino Grove Avenue. Other work to be included in this project is replacement of sections of curb and gutter, sidewalk, and cross gutters.
- Colorado Boulevard Sidewalk Gap Closure Project: Construction of new sidewalk and retaining wall along the north side of Colorado Boulevard, from San Antonio Road to the Colorado Boulevard Gold Line Bridge.
